CARNIVALS ARE HERE!

It is true that time flies. I can remember Christmas as if they were yesterday. But we are already at the end of the second month of the year, February, the shortest month of the year. And, moreover, we are going to have four days to enjoy the Carnivals, this international celebration that makes us loose all the embarrasment and shame and go out with an original disguise. What is it your disguise for this year? What days are you going to dress up? What about the school party on Friday afternoon? Tell us your experience!! In my case, me and my friends are going to dress up as members of a circus, I will let you know about it on Wednesday! A big hug for everyone! Enjoy carnivals!

TODAY JOSEP MARIA ARTIGAL WAS WITH US AT SCHOOL

Today we were very happy and pleased at school because Josep Maria Artigal was coming to visit us and to teach us more about his marvellous methodology and material that we are using at Infant School. All the Ikastolas in the Basque Country are using his material and so do many other schools. What do you know about it? Do you remember when 4 and 5 years old learners told you the story of the balloon? Did you like it? Was it easy to understand? Tell us your knowledge and experience about the topic!

GRAMMAR and VOCABULARY COMPETITION

This is a game we are going to use in order to practise grammar and vocabulary. Every fifteen days, I will write an activity related to grammar or vocabulary we are learning in our lessons. You will have to answer the questions and EXPLAIN WHY. The person who guesses will get a point, and the first one who gets three points will be responsible for proposing the next game. I hope you will like and enjoy it! And, of course, I hope it will be a useful tool to learn! GOOD LUCK!

A NEW STORY: CAKE

We finished "The Balloon" before Christmas and, now, we are working on "Cake" with 5 year-old learners. It is much more complex than The Balloon, but they do understand it, and they like it and enjoy it. The protagonists of the story are Emmy and Mummy. Emmy is hungry and she'd like to make a cake. Mummy says YES. Then, they start putting all the ingredients in a bowl. They put it in the oven and once the cake is made, Mummy goes shopping and tells Emmy not to eat the cake before she comes back. However, Emmy is very hungry and she eats it. Mummy comes back and gets angry. We will finish it in March, and there will another chance to share it with you, learners in the 3rd cycle! You will like it for sure! And, don't forget that 4 year-old learners are also working on another story, called "Peter", with Irati. They will also share it with you!
